As you have surely noticed, Valentine’s Day seems to pretty specific to give those who are madly and deeply in love a justification to...well...fall even more madly and deeply in love, even if it is just for one day out of the year. But what if you and your Valentine do not necessarily fit that mould? What if you are the, let’s say, “quirky,” unique type of couple who either doesn’t want or need to stare googly eyed at each other and fall into the romantic stereotype? Do you just not celebrate Valentine’s Day? Or, is there a way to rejoice in the love that you have found, not to be defined by what the holiday pronounces that you should be?
