Proposal Ideas
So, you have decided that you are going to propose to your love, and you are absolutely convinced that Valentine’s Day is the day you hope to upgrade the title of girlfriend to fiancée. The painstakingly difficult decision has been made, the magnificent engagement ring has been purchases, so what could be left? Oh yeah, the proposal idea. That little thing you have been brainstorming unrelentingly for awhile now. You want it to be perfect. That is a no brainer. You want it to be something she will remember forever. You want her to have a story to tell her family and friends. Do not feel bad if no glorious ideas are materialising in your brain right now. This is probably one of the more overwhelming times of your life, so it is no wonder you may be drawing a blank. Do not fear! Ideas are on their way.
- Idea #1: Take your girlfriend to a move on Valentine’s Day evening. Prior to movie beginning, the ads will be playing as they always do. You will, of course, have made arrangements ahead of time and purchased an ad, proposing to your girlfriend onscreen, in front of the whole movie theatre. You should be relatively certain the answer will be yes to this proposal, however, as being declined in front of a movie theatre full of patrons is the fastest way to make the holiday evening take a turn for the worse real quick!
- Idea #2: What did you and your partner on your very first real date? Recreate all (or at least as many as you can) of the details from the first outing you had to set the stage for the proposal. This shows great creativity by tying together where you were, where you are, and where you are going, together.
- Idea #3: If you and your honey are fans of jigsaw puzzles, here is a fun idea for a proposal. Have a jigsaw puzzle made that spells out “Will you Marry Me?” Keep the words out that say “marry” so that she doesn’t get suspicious at the onset if she finds this word. Let her put together the word “marry” as you are inconspicuously producing the ring. As she puts the final pieces together and realizes what it says, take the ring out and start the proposal!
There are many creative ways you can pop the question, either on Valentine’s Day, or any other day of the year that you find suitable. Just have fun with it, and get ideas when the ideas just aren’t producing themselves!
