Jewellery

In the words of Shirley Bassey...

Diamonds are forever
They are all I need to please me
They can stimulate and tease me
They won’t leave me in the night

You almost can’t go wrong in purchasing jewellery for the female in your life on Valentine’s Day. The idea...simple. The quest for the perfect jewellery...not always so simple. But, guys, you make this venture harder and more tedious than it needs to be. It should bring enjoyment to your life knowing you are purchasing something that will likely bring extensive happiness to your sweetheart’s very existence. Often times, the reason guys stress so much over this shopping excursion is because they wait until the last minute, dreading the whole ordeal. This brings even more strain and pressure, though, because they still have to do it, but in even less time! Take the worry out of the picture and start ahead of time.

Though Shirley Bassey and Marilyn Monroe put diamonds on the map, you should not feel limited to this genre of gemstone. In fact, you do not even need to restrict yourself to gemstones at all. But if this is the route you want to take, there are many more options (often far less expensive options) to choose from. Garnets and amethysts are popular right now. A nice ring or necklace (or even a matching set) in one of these would make a nice gift. An eloquent, silver bracelet would be simple, yet chic! Being Valentine’s Day, hearts are always a popular commodity. So, a silver chain with a heart locket on it would speak volumes to your love. You could even put a picture of her and you on each side of the locket. She would absolutely love (!) this thoughtful gesture.

In order to buy a piece of jewellery that it just right for her personality, listen to her. What type of jewellery do you hear her compliment other women on? If all else fails, you could look through her jewellery box to see what kind of pattern unfolds within.

Another nice touch is being creative with the presentation of the jewellery. One example is this: Buy a ring and a box of chocolates. Replace one of the chocolates in the box with the ring. When she opens the box of chocolates, thinking this is her only gift, she will find the “real” gift hidden within. Imagine the story she’ll be able to tell her girlfriends with this one!
