Chocolates

For most people, chocolate is synonymous with Valentine’s Day. Ever since we were little kids, we enjoyed munching on our favourite chocolates on this special day. Whether it was a box of assorted chocolates or a solid chocolate heart, the day could not pass by without indulging in this decadent candy.

So, why should this change now that we are adults?  And why should we not treat ourselves or others to something extra-special?  Something along the lines of gourmet chocolates?  Who needs your run-of-the-mill chocolate when you can have delicacies?

Imagine how your loved one will react as their senses are stimulated beyond belief when they open a box of assorted gourmet chocolates. Imagine the excitement they will have knowing that they will have the ability to continue to be pampered, over and over, as they sample each variety from the box you have been gracious enough to bestow on them. Now, imagine the appreciation they will have towards you. You, the person who cared enough to spoil them in this manner.

Think about the possibilities…worst case scenario, your sweetheart shares one or two of the wonderful chocolates with you. Not a bad “worst case scenario,” you are surely thinking. So, what could be a best case scenario, you might ask. Well, picture this…you and your dearest are lying by the fireplace, staring into each other’s eyes as the flames flicker in the background. She is imparting upon you words that convey the love she has for you. She reaches down into the box lying beside the pair of you and plucks a cinnamon latte chocolate from the container. She places the chocolate treat to your lips and then kisses away the chocolate trail that remains on your lips, evidence of the transaction that just took place. Sounds like a pretty blissful Valentine’s Day! 

Many people almost expect to get chocolates for Valentine’s Day because it is just such a universal gift. But will they anticipate the thought that goes into selecting the finest chocolates for their enjoyment?  As you look ahead towards Valentine’s Day and the gifts you may be purchasing, think long and hard about the effect gourmet chocolates may have on your significant other. Everyone buys chocolates. Not everyone, however, demonstrates the endeavour that such a magnificent portrayal of affection displays. If you are finding it difficult to believe these amazing effects, just try it and see.
